The story of Love Language takes place primarily at Skye’s lakeside home, inspired by upstate New York. Our team researched the area to help create a cozy and inviting environment for the story. Vibrant colors and a soft watercolor style helped bring our storybook style world come to life.

Skye’s home is a charming single-family home, with just enough space for three. Every room of the house is designed to be each character’s unique space, reflecting their distinct personalities.

Skye’s room is a little girls paradise. Complete with a crafting corner, the room highlights her love of pink and DIY projects. Covered with toys, books, doodles and more, it’s Skye’s own little world where she dreams of her imaginary dad, and the summer she could spend with him.

The garage is Frank’s space where he can be himself and work on his own projects. Frank loves to DIY, just like his stepdaughter, but his style isn’t exactly Skye’s cup of tea. The garage is made up of musty green and neutral colors Skye finds boring at best and gross at worst.

The living room and kitchen are shared common areas but reflect Skye’s Mom’s sunny personality and tenderness. They feature mostly warm colors to help create a cozy and comfortable feeling in the home.
